I do not have a From Scratch post ready for today, so I thought I would do something that I have been thinking about doing for awhile. This post is a list, which will be updated with each From Scratch post, providing links to each post and giving the final verdict of that particular item. I will also add a link to the side bar for easy reference.

| Cleaning with Vinegar | Thumbs Up | Vinegar is a great cleaner and the orange infused vinegar doesn’t have the overwhelming smell of vinegar. This is especially a great cleaner for those with sensitivities to other cleaners. Due to the sensitivity of my bird, I find myself using vinegar for nearly everything. |
| Drying Spices | Thumbs Up | This is very easy to do and if you grow fresh herbs, it’s a no brainer. |
| Homemade Dishwasher Detergent | Thumbs Down | I was not impressed with this at all. I followed all the advice about not using too much but it still left my dishes kind of gritty and they did not seem as clean. I have since been using Cascade ActionPacs and love them. |
| Homemade Laundry Detergent | Thumbs Up | This is my favorite from scratch item. After making this, I got some Tide for next to nothing with coupons, and I hated using it. It’s really easy to make and the best detergent I’ve ever used. |
| Homemade Liquid Hand Soap | Mixed | This soap is not as easy to make as the detergent. And the snotty consistency takes some getting used to. It is definitely cheaper than buying some of the specialty soap. So if there’s a soap that you love and can get cheaper in bar form, this might be a good compromise to get the scent you love. I will probably not do this regularly. |
| Homemade Salsa | Thumbs Up | I’ve been making homemade salsa for years. I rarely buy store-bought anymore. |
| Shower Cleaner | Mixed | Works okay, but I prefer my store bought cleaners to this one. |
| Skin Brightening Toner | Mixed | Works okay, no strong feelings one way or another. |
| Home Remedy | Mixed | Can’t tell that it really helped. On the other hand, I did not get sick. |
